Seven Consequences of Ignorance

Righteousness is a free gift and received by Faith. Righteousness cancels all of men penalty and gave us a new status before God. Satan is not the greatest problem, he has been defeated, Ignorance is the greatest problem and it can’t be cured by deliverance.

 There is a personal responsibility for curing your ignorance. If you don’t do what you should do, what you don’t know will end up killing you.

This brings me to the seven consequences of Ignorance. I will be taking this consequences from Isaiah 5:13 "Therefore My people will go into exile because they lack knowledge; her dignitaries are starving, and her masses are parched with thirst"

and Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children"

People go into captivity because of no knowledge..Two important things to note from the above text

People are destroyed

People go into exile.

 According to Isaiah 5:13. Ignorance multiplies your suffering, it keeps the man suffering whether its physical bondage like sickness, ignorance is at the root of it. Ignorance is responsible for it. There are a lot of people wandering in the street because they are not free. They are not free because they don’t know the truth. The man lives perpetually in slavery even when provision for survival is made. In the world of business, someone can be in need of capacity and when you view the person, you can tell if he needs capital or knowledge..

     Poverty

The first law of wealth creation is Knowledge. It’s called Financial Literacy. Wisdom begat Wealth while ignorance begat Poverty. The wisest man in the bible is the richest man. Proverbs 13: 18. Ignorance is one dangerous thing that brings Poverty.  To change the lot of any nation, the first thing is to empower people with knowledge, when you do, they create their own wealth.

3.     Eternal Condemnation

In verse 14 of Isaiah 5 "Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it", 

it clearly shows Ignorance ends up damning the soul. Why is people going to hell? It’s not because the door of heaven is closed No, It’s not because God is not merciful and gracious No, it’s because ignorance makes people reject the gospel.

Three Reasons I believe the Bible is the Word of God.

4.   Devaluation. 

     Ignorance devalues you, knowledge values you. Knowledge makes you appreciate, ignorance makes you depreciate. If you bring Bill Gate and an average American on the street for sale, lol there is no difference in the look and body but you can sell Bill Gate for $10m and sell that American probably for $10 why? The more knowledge you have the more value you add to yourself and the more you appreciate in value. The more ignorant the more you depreciate. It is what is inside you that gives you value; therefore, invest in the inward man. Knowledge gives you value and with that value you have acquired, you can add value in others and that determine how much you earn in life. Nobody can acquire knowledge and not have self worth and significance.

5.     Destruction.

What you don’t know is what is killing you. Satan gets his power from you your ignorance because Satan is the Prince of Darkness; the Word Darkness means ignorance so he gets his power from ignorance when he sees you in the dark. The only area he oppresses you is the dark area of your life. The devil advantage is not Power, it’s Deception; and you are vulnerable to deception when you don’t know the truth. The two major weapons of Satan are “Lie” and “Pattern”.

6.     Disqualification.

In verse 6b of Hosea 4, "I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children". 

Ignorance makes you unusable by God, you may have a calling but you don’t have approval “study to show yourself approved”. Many are called but few are chosen.., being called doesn’t make a different anything happen, being chosen is what causes you to stand out. So, ignorance disqualifies you, it removes divine divine approval. When a person refuses to learn to learn, God will start hiding promotion and exposure from that person. The highest He can do is to keep you as Local Champion. There are many who died as local champions when God’s original plan was to be exposed internationally; knowledge limited them. Ignorance disqualifies you from honor.

7.     Generational Consequences.

When you don’t know you, you teach the unknown to your children. your ignorance becomes your knowledge. Ignorance leads to generational consequences…it is transferable from a generation to another.

The Three Principles Relating to Ignorance
Lack of Knowledge. These people don’t know or have opportunity to know but guess what it will still destroy them. This tells you Knowledge is a personal responsibility. Do something to get knowledge.

   Rejection of Knowledge. These are people that knows how to get knowledge but no price to get it. People in this group reject knowledge. These are people that are rejected in life because they are unteachable. when a man is unteachable, it means he lacks the attitude of meekness. Meekness is an attitude which means been teachable, correctable, mouldable, shapable, etc.

Forgetting what you have learnt.
After being taught and you forget what was taught, it's the same as not knowing or having knowledge. When you have being taught something and you forget, you go back to the same state as the person who don't know....thus, learning is a continuous process

The greatest thing you can give to your children as a generational bequest is not money, it is knowledge that at the later latter part of your life, you turn it into mentor-ship and starting passing everything God has thought you in life.
